Eye Exams

Children with the following risk factors may need more frequent eye examinations:



Adults

Adults ages 18 to 60 should have a comprehensive eye exam at least every two years. At age 61 and over, annual eye exams are recommended.

What should I expect during an eye exam?







Our physicians recommend that you have a complete eye exam every one to three years, depending on your age, your risk factors, any medical problems that you have affecting your eyes, and whether or not you wear contact lenses.


Children

It is important that children have eye exams to be prepared for learning in the classroom.  A great deal of the educational material that is presented to your child at school is presented and received visually.  If a child cannot see the presentation materials or read the books and black boards, then they cannot be expected to learn all that is being offered to them by their teachers!
